Reef Point Systems Unveils ATCA Blade Platform |

Reef Point Systems (www.reefpoint.com)
has announced the release of its first
ATCA blade-based system. The two-slot
solution is the first in a series of ATCA
blade-based systems the company plans
to unveil over the next year, combining
Reef Points’ network services blade, the
Universal Convergence Gateway (UCG)
blade for secure access and media plane
signaling, and a powerful Intel-based
COTS blade for signaling and control
functions. The UCG blade serves as the
traffic-policy enforcement point located
between a service provider’s core network
and the subscriber access networks
that consumers and businesses use to
access those services.
